Here is the link (See what the additional damages are :( )

That’s weird that it says Broome has no AC or kitchens, every single room in that building does/did last year. I’m gonna email the building admin and see if anything changed, I can’t imagine that it did but I want to be sure.

Is there a reason why this link doesn’t work anymore?

Yeah, the link doesn’t work for me either.

Haha,

I was so happy someone brought up the link so i could check on meal plan fees. I could not find it in my search at all, through NYU’s website. Now this link is not working and the original info included is nowhere to be found. They must have taken it off for some reason to be re-posted later.

In the meantime, it is back to 2010-2011 housing pricing info available as a guide prior to the inflation increase for 2011-2012.

http://nyunews.com/housingguide/

The following includes 2010-2011 Meal Plan fees. Something to work off of until the 2011-2012 Housing fees are re-posted. Double the semester cost for total academic housing and meal plan fees. Tag on approx. 3-5% for inflation. Sigh, back to guestimates, but close enough to see the approx. damages for each dorm and dorm options.

So scared to calculate the costs…

I feel for you, lullinatalk. :(

Hope it all is worth it for you. Be successful and happy! :)

Here’s the new link:

ShortyRock,

Glad you found the link again. Trying to figure out meal plan “savings” since sonny’s housing jumps from 11,900 to 13,900 (approximate) for Sophomore year. So actually, the increase will be more like 18-19%. Housing for Sophomore year tends to be more expensive, unless you opt for low cost housing, which is also generally more expensive Sophomore year. :(

Upperclassman housing is always more expensive than freshman though, because you move from 90% of rooms being studios to 90% being apartment-style, so the extra space of common rooms, multiple individual or shared bedrooms and/or bathrooms, and closet space all adds up to more $$$, unfortunately.

Yes, unfortunately. So some savings will have to come from a leaner meal plan with hopefully cheaper meal cost by cooking in the kitchen available with apartment style dorms.
