Sorry if this has been discussed before and I am sure it has. I tried searching but it is just to broad. My son has sent in his apps (1 ED, 4 EA and 2 rolling all ready accepted to both rolling). My question is this. Is it worth sending in that he made Captain of the swim team last night and that he won and award at his soccer banquet? Also he took the ACT with writing (always did SAT with oldest son and this son but thought we would just see ... no preparation at all) in October and his scores are good. They seem to be be about 100 points better than his superscored SAT depending on which conversion site you use. Also the writing portion is very good as opposed to his SAT subject tests that he submitted to colleges. Now I know some of the colleges will accept ACT with writing in lieu of SAT and subject tests. Should I send these new scores? Is it too late. I guess if he were deferred I would send them? Don't know since I really wish I had started with the ACTs with this son since the beginning. He obviously tests better on this test especially since he didn't prepare. Did it more on a whim since so many people said they had better success with ACTs. What do people do with winter sports awards/leadership roles that they get after they have submitted apps?
Thanks for any insight.

You can always send email to the admissions department giving them any relevant updates. Go for it. But, of course, it should come from him.

I have a similar question if you don’t mind- I switched my second semester study hall to creative writing. Should I report my schedule change?

So he sends an email to the admissions dept. Great advice… I will just have him reference his ID. Didn’t know if it seemed bothersome but I think you are right…why not.
Thanks

It is not bothersome. They are quite open to anything that is relevant. They want to know as much as they can.

Ebtrvl - if the school will see your mid year report before they give you an answer, then do not bother, otherwise, yes, send them an email.

thank you anotherparent

My son sent his new relevant information to all schools via his admissions rep or online portal if there was a spot or the college admissions, whichever seemed most appropriate.
Thanks again,
