I want to take MAT600 Foundations of Abstract Math AND MAT 690 - Selected Topics

I think I am going to aim towards those too!

tuesdays:

that would be just UNBELIEVABLE!! let’s see when we get dorm assignments in july =D

i think i figured out my schedule…
maybe…lol

how many frees does a lower normally have?

Well, I’m an incoming prep that likes to crash parties/threads ;)

What worries me is that I’ll be 15 this August and probably the oldest person in my grade =/
So I’ll probably be the same age as you guys.

You won’t be the oldest. I was a new prep this year but since I was a repeat I was older than most of them. I just turned 16 but I think there’s still one or two people that are older than me.

Hey guys first year students CAN and DO be tour guides. If I remember correctly TomTheCat is a tour guide at Andover. If he isn’t, well, he’s an amazing representative of Andover here on CC.

But let’s not talk about Andover here. Anyone planning to write for the Exonian? I’m not going this fall, but I’m so excited for you guys :D.

determined, I’LL be 15 in august as a new LOWER, hahahaha thats funny

My son will be 15 in August too. I bet there will be a bunch of older lowers. Many of us parents would not feel right about sending kids on the younger end of a grade away to school.

Because of repeats I bet grades have alot of age difference.
Alright so as a three year student would these sciences be able to fit into my schedule?
yearlong chem
yearlong physics
atronomy 1 and 2
molecular genetics intro and following class
quantum mechanics

will that fit if i fulfill my religion and art requirements now and use elective spaces to fulfill these classes?

Whoops–I’m still getting confused by Exeter terminology. Meant to say that my son would be a 15 yo junior (prep), not lower, because of his August birthday. I don’t think it will matter much–looks like many of the classes mix grades anyway, which I think is great.

That’s an ambitious schedule Gabii–I’m in awe! Did you run your question by your advisor?

Gabii, Quatum mechanics has many requirements so be sure to check them out. You must have taken or be taking Calc and must have taken AP physics I think.

yah I was just looking at those…
I think I would drop that but still take the others (astronomy and genetics)
since those are some of my top choices to major in in college

Well, it would be wise to make descion…well maybe about this year’s courses, because course regristration is next week. :D

Guys, what do you think of this schedule? And is anyone else designing their schedules for the next two/three years too and being anal-retentive and calculating different paths and everything? SO PARANOID!

FALL

WINTER

Is anything out of place? Is the load too much? Also, would it be realistic to take Intro to Music Theory lower year and then the next two classes of the sequence (techniques, analysis, and composition) senior year?

THANKS!

I am so jealous of you guys. haha.

Gabii, keep in mind that upper year we’ll have no electives, because the elective slot will be taken up by a year-long US history course. D= You should be able to fit most of the stuff you want into senior year if you aren’t thinking of taking any other electives.

Ok that sounds good, thanks!
I’ll just be a big science nerd senior year, haha :)

2010, we’ll be seeing you next year. Durr. ;D Also, don’t be jealous, I am so confused about choices right now haha. >.<

Btw guys, would it be alright to forgo Physics so I could fill that slot up with biochem electives? Or is Physics too useful/basic to discard?
