Last semester, all ended well. Despite being waitlisted for several classes, causing lots of worry, D did get into all she wanted.

So, we're calmer this time around, believing that although she's only formally registered for 9 credits, things will work out as school approaches.

Just one niggle...Gibson doesn't reflect that she's waitlisted. It just shows the 3 classes in which she's enrolled. Last semester, Gibson also reflected waitlist status for the waitlisted classes. Has the process changed a little, or do you think there's been a "hiccup" with D's registration process?

My guess is that there is a hiccup. I would call the registrar’s office and find out. If that isn’t the right place to call, they can guide you to the right place I am sure.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of potentially bad news, but a similar thing happened when I checked my son’s schedule for the fall semester. We had been checking daily or at least every couple of days and then went on vacation when we checked his schedule upon our return, one class he was waitlisted for was no longer there. We found out that over the vacation, he had received an email that said there was a spot available in the class that we had to go on Gibson and accept within 48 hours. Well it was 12 hours past the 48 hour deadline at that point, so he missed the opportunity but was fortunate enough to get into another section that had opened up at the same time. Your D should check her email to be sure, but that could be the explanation for the mysterious disappearance of those waitlisted classes.

I have an opinion about whether the people that were offended by the use of this word have a valid position or don’t, but I will keep that to myself.

Sounds to me like there is one person heading this up, bringing in different “buddies”, but of course cannot be sure of that. Hopefully they will get the person/people soon.

Goodness, I had no idea…perhaps due to being a native of England? I’ve taken 2 seconds to check-in with an on-line dictionary, and it is a recognized
noun (and verb):

"A trifling complaint, dispute, or criticism: “it is an excellent book except for my few niggles”; “I have a few niggles about design”.

But I’ll definitely be conscious from now on -and try to stop using it.

On the original point - yes D managed a hiccup, and hasn’t been on the waitlists she’d intended. Grr! So back to the familiar stress of hoping it all falls into place last minute.

To directly answer the original question: There is a “My Schedule” link in gibson, and you can see the classes waitlisted for and the waitlist position there.
