I just wanted to plug UR's new virtual tour because I think it's amazing. It gives a wealth of information and really depicts the campus well. As an added bonus, a young grad was the person who did it (and no, it wasn't me).

Check it out if you haven't been able to get by campus yet!

Virtual Tour

Yes, we were looking at this tour yesterday. Very nice and informative! We were looking for the swimming pool but could not find it, and it was not included in any of the building descriptions. Is there a pool? If so, what size is it?

Yes there is a pool. In the Robins Center. 50 metres and 7 lanes I think. No diving well. Several swimmers did quite well in the Olympic Trials and the pool where the trials was held has been purchased by a local swim club (Poseiden) and is being packed up and shipped to Richmond very soon. So our city will soon add a state of the art swimming venue to UR's facilities. The swimming community locally is pretty excited about that!

I came across the tour yesterday. Very nice. The campus is beautiful.

I can't get a feel for how large the chapel is. Any guess as to how many ppl fit in the pews?

There is room for about 450 I think. I'm getting married there in less than two months. It is an absolutely gorgeous place. Each of the stained glass windows on the sides have something to do with UR, it was a fantastic pipe organ and the rosetta window in the back is one of the prettiest examples of stain glass that I've ever seen.

Not to intimidate Spiders05 on his wedding day, but the Chapel will actually seat about 800 at full capacity. (I hope you didn't invite that many though!) It is a beautiful space. I got married there too!

Thanks to both of you. It must be bigger than it looks.

Best wishes, Spider05.

Well, if I had known that, I would have invited more people!

Appreciate the wishes, although I think she needs them more than I.
