New worry!

A couple of days ago I was compiling a list of all our schools' admissions dates, procedures, logins, etc. I realized we'd never gotten any acknowledgement of our application from Concord Academy, although the SSAT website says everything was submitted. At some point a while back my husband had communicated with them about financial aid, to make sure they had all our documents, which they confirmed they did, but never anything about admissions itself. I emailed them on Friday to check and see if her application was in, but they haven't responded. Their website says emails will go out tomorrow, but a couple of kids have posted already that they were waitlisted.

So - does it ever happen that an application gets lost in the shuffle, and if so, is there anything to be done after they've admitted their class? It takes on special importance since at this point she hasn't gotten in anywhere else (still waiting on NMH tomorrow.)

Advice?

I’ve never heard of an application getting “lost” - but that doesn’t mean it has never happened. Since the SSAT website says that everything was submitted, I would expect that all is well, and you will have something in the mail very soon. Plus, if your husband communicated to them about financial aid, and they confirmed everything was in, you must have been “in their system.”

I have heard of schools contacting applicants if they were missing information. Since you weren’t contacted, I would hope this means that they had all the required admissions materials.

Hang in there! I know this is so stressful, especially if you have not received any admissions invitation yet. Thinking of you, and sending positive thoughts your way.
