New York University, better to apply to Steinhardt?

<p>Hello.</p>

<p>I was wondering what were the disadvantages and advantages of applying to Steinhardt (specifically, Media and Communication) or to just apply undecided to College of Arts and Sciences.</p>

<p>NYU is my number one school, and I wouldn't want my chances of being accepted to be lower because of selecting a certain school. I've read a lot about people saying that students who get accepted to Stein. have lower scores, but make up for it with their portfolios. Since I wouldn't be submitting anything of that nature, I'm not exactly sure how that would affect me.</p>

<p>Honestly, there isnt a big difference in admission standards, so just apply for whatever you want, but remember that it is really hard to do an internal transfer, so you will probs be stuck in the school you apply to. So choose wisely. Like I said. Apply for the school that you feel is the best fit.</p>
