I don’t know if there is a RD thread, so I apologize if I’m putting this in the wrong place.

I’m applying to NYU Stern for RD, and I was wondering if it is possible for me to submit a resume to my portal? I list more details on some of my initiatives + two portfolios that support some of the things I write in my application.

I know there is an option to submit a CV/resume on the portal, I just don’t know if I’m ‘allowed’ to submit one and if it’ll negatively affect my chances, especially since Stern doesn’t require one unlike some of the other schools or graduate programs.

NYU Tandon ED 2 (math major)

  • A girl from Sweden, but studying in a boarding school in MA (started as a sophomore)

  • SAT 1490 (math 790, reading and writing 700)

  • Duolingo 140/160 after one year in USA. Would be better now, but I didn’t take the test again.)

  • GPA 3.85 (out of 4.0), weighted 4.45 (AP → +1)

  • All grades A or A- ( A+ not available)

  • 6 AP’s (Calc AB: 5, CS A: 5 and Physics C: 5 in junior year. Three tests to come.)

  • School limit of two AP’s per year, but I petitioned and got permission to do three in both junior and senior years.

  • School doesn’t rank

  • EC’s not spectacular, but active in school community (prefect, science tutor, dance, a couple of clubs)

  • Competed in figure skating back home, won a some medals in regional competitions. Also volunteered as an assistant coach to little girls.

  • $20.000 per year guaranteed scholarship from my home country, FA would be nice, but not absolutely necessary.

  • No idea about recs, but teacher generally like me.

  • Admitted EA to Babson and Case Western, all other applications pending (didn’t apply ED 1).

So what do you think of the chances to Tandon?

There’s been a lot of “portal astrology” about NYU on these threads here and in past years. Maybe others can address whether it means anything at this point. I don’t think there are “clues” until much closer to the results release date which is 2/15 for ED2 … still more than a week away.

@College166 @Agdoll Did either of you do summer programs at NYU? I have the same thing on housing and bursar…so I’m guessing everyone else does too. Prob meaningless.

Yapies no summer program. Based on previous conversations here, some of the peeps who were accepted had summer housing, so yeah, probably not an indicator.

Two bookmarks are quite random, though, as I did not have that until about a week ago.
