i think its about half and half for me… some of my friends are at CC and some of my friends went straight to the universities, BUT my best friend is at UCLA lol.

its nutts to think that we’ll be close to/ if not already 20 by the time we transfer. idk i think im just being nostalgic : )

best of luck to everyooonneee. and to everyone that will basically be done by fall, i envy you lol.

I plan to start my personal statements in the summer. I want to turn my Application in right when you can. Does that have any play on if you end up in the first batch of admissions releases?

What i mean is, you know how there are batches of information? Most UC’s (as far as I know), have a couple waves, or a few. Does it not matter when you submit your app?

^ But we also have the most people applying from any CC (~1800)

SMC has more of a class choice than PCC and GCC over the summer though, so there are some pluses. Supposedly, there’s a “name recognition” from SMC for example given two identical applicants from SMC and Butte (lulz) CC just because they know our curriculum better.

Evan - yeah, it really doesn’t matter but it’s good to turn it in early anyways because the UC site gets slow and laggy, sometimes even crashing within hours before the application is due.

So apparently the edit button is gone after a while…
What do you guys think about taking two history classes this summer? In particular pre-reconstruction US history and european history after 1715?

I wasn’t expecting it to be too difficult…just too much of one subject. Haha, you obviously trumped me with your schedule though. Good luck! Philosophy major?

I just wrote a 3 page history mini-paper due at 9:30AM today in 40 minutes. Personal best :D

True, it’s not half bad work either haha.
Although I walked into class and found out it was due next tuesday instead.
That’s what I get for ditching the class beforehand to write an essay for another class.

My work/study ethic has deteriorated since transferring from a 4 year -> CC -__-

St. John’s University in NY (Queens). I’m originally from LA though.
It was filled with Staten Island girls/guys, guidos, hoodrats, and druggies lol.

But as much as it sucked, I miss dormingggggg!

But at least now I have the pleasure of NOT seeing people wear brands like thehundreds and etc.

I also scored an internship with a new skate label… I hope it doesn’t blow up and get out of control but based on the backgrounds/resume of the people behind the brand , it will.

think of a shoe company that totally took over skateboarding within a span of 2-3 years.
