"Next Generation" of College Confidential Here Already? (FALL 2010 Transfers)

Syracuse keeps sending me stuff. I’m kind of intrigued!

^How many people are looking at privates too?

My friend keeps telling me to look at privates too, but I’m worried since they ask for your HS transcripts too.

A lot of them don’t require them if you’ve completed a certain number of units (it seems like it’s usually 30, or a years’ worth of course work)

But I am looking at Private Schools for sure. USC, LMU, and maybe Syracuse.

I’m looking at Georgetown for sure. I’ve been giving a lot of thought to USC, especially since it was my first choice in high school but isn’t first choice now (although, it would definitely not be my last choice. I’d be delighted to attend USC.) Any other private schools I’ve thought about would be extreme reaches that I don’t think the application fee would be worth.

What are the requirements for Georgetown? Do you need SAT’s?

wow thats a lot of people. Are you guys working on yours essays yet?

[Georgetown University- Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://www12.georgetown.edu/undergrad/admissions/applying_transfer_preparation.cfm)

SAT scores are required. My SAT was pretty bad, but ACT was better. I’m planning to retake both in January if I feel I can make a significant improvement.

So, i went in to speak with my EOPS counselor, and I get 4 free college apps, but I thought they were for any school, but they are solely for UC’s. I was originally only applying to Cal, UCLA, and UCSD, but now I am also applying to UCSB (The next appealing campus)

Is everyone except me started with their essays already?

I started my essay…

I have not started my UC essays yet, or private school essays. I’ll probably start writing my UC essays sometime next month. As for the private school essays, I’ll do those over Winter break, along with studying for the SATs.

I haven’t started mine yet Evan. :/

I haven’t started mine either. Thats probably really bad haha.

There is still plenty of time.

hey whats up with northwestern…are they transfer friendly?

They are one of the most transfer friendly top colleges.

where can i find more info?..like some stats or something lol

OMG. Mine is the same way.

I know that when UC’s offer you admission, they have a contract, and I’ve read that some request High School transcripts. This is so ****ty, I live over a hundred miles away from my high school. Ha ha. I hope that they don’t request them of me(I’m not listing any AP’s or high school classes on my application).

(UPDATE: Whoa! They just asterisked out my foul language!)

SMC has no A/C in the classrooms.
And I’m pretty sure they put up the temp in the library to like 70.

I’m meltinnngggggggggg!!

Anyone other CCs have the same problem? :(

^ Really?! All my classes (except LS…) have AC. And I always go in the library kaz it’s so damn cold. I love it there, hahah.
