This is very depressing indeed...:(

In college it starts to turn around actually. Or maybe that's just what I'm hoping...

I see what you mean.

i don't think this is true.

smart girls will be quick to realize who the jerks are, and get rid of them fast.

at least that's what i think...

=] I agreed with stupidestofthesmart. :D Maybe I will find the nice guy someday. [daydreams] x]

Girls want a guy with confidence, someone that exudes power and strength. Nice guys tend to lack these qualities or at least hide them more often.

So if ur nice, the girl will think ur a p*ssy, but if ur slightly mean, she'll think ur just a bad person.

It's hard to win women over. Despite what everyone says, it all comes down to looks. If she thinks ur hot, you can get away with a lot of things.

Very interesting read indeed.
Makes you think a lot.

Nice guys eventually get someone though. They just have to wait a little bit longer, but when they find that special someone, it was worth the wait.

Nice guys do not finish last. Unskilled guys finish last.

"You know, like nunchuck skills, bowhunting skills, computer hacking skills...Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills."

I hit myself once with a pair of nun-chuks... that kinda hurt. Ever since then I've stuck to bo and rapier.

Back to the topic. Nice guys will finish last if they don't have an extra push (what exactly an extra push is can be debated). I'm a nice guy with some sort of push and I've gotten plenty of action through my HS years: two and a half g/fs (I say half because one relationship turned out to be a two week string of one night stands, and I didn't like that too much), one relationship lasted about half a year, the other almost for one year (I ended one relationship, the other was mutual). I also had a few dates here and there, so I'm living proof that nice guys can get action.

Right now though... I think I won't involve myself in another relationship until college... I'll still date, but over time, it REALLY eats away at my wallet and time.

By the way, I'm not the hottest guy out there, but I'm not ugly at all either, so I don't think my looks won anything. I'm pretty sure my looks played a small factor because I am neither hot nor ugly.

It also depends on the girl. All of the girls I've dated/had relationships with were extremely intelligent, I think that could be a factor when deciding which guys they want, because it seems to me that very few very smart girls go after bad boys.

Bump. Suprisingly, there are a lot of nerdy guys that are hooked up with attractive girls. I really think that money and success counts more than good looks for a man in a female's POV, especially when they are older.

i agree confidence is key...

Thought-provoking.

^ Whoa, way to revive a 5-year-old thread o.o

ANOTHER thread on this topic?! -_-

I rarely pay attention to the dates. Sorry.

^There is nothing wrong with necroing. :)

The link is mostly nonsense:

No, you can be nice if you want to or you can be a * if you want to.
‘Nice guy’?
But the nice guy isn’t THAT na

^agreed, what an capital A-hole.

So this guy is just further proving his point… :l

^^ I agree as well that guy is a seaward

The best thing about college is that I won’t have to spend another 4 years with the same guys I spent pre-K, elementary school, and middle school with.
