So who applied to the NJ Governor's School this year? Which school did you apply to?

I applied to the School of International Studies and I'm really hoping to get in. I've been interested in international affairs for a long time so the program should be interesting and beneficial for me.

I applied to the School in the Sciences, and yes, I also really really really wish I could get in. Still, I can't help but worry about my chances! Nevertheless, it'd be an amazing experience and I've heard great things about it from past alumni!

I also applied to the School of International Studies. Question though - my friend, who applied for the School of the Sciences, received an email notifying him that his application was received and is being reviewed.

I, on the other hand, received nothing.

Is this reason to be scared? 'Cause I am! D:

I didn't receive any other information or email after I submitted my application, so you're not alone. Each school is run at a different college, so mabye that's why. It's possible that the information may have gone to your school's guidance department also.

So does anyone know about the rules on staying on campus. Ah, I know that, if I get in, I'm definitely going to have to sneak off and see Half-Blood Prince. :3

I wanted to apply for TASP. But much to my distain I discovered the program way past registration deadline.

As for others, I'm a little stuck. I don't want to apply, get in, as well as get accepted for GS and have to turn one down. I just wish we can be given our acceptance statuses prior to April!

Don't worry if you don't get a notification. I don't know, but the NJ gov schools might still have a tight budget. I applied to the International Studies school last year. I received nothing until the much dreaded decisions day. They only sent an email last year, so... no letter. I got wait listed then denied. Talk about bad luck. lol

@iEatReeds: I did science and I got an email too saying my application was received, so I think it's just for this particular school.

I'd suggest applying to other places, it's probably better to have two or more to choose from than to be left with nothing to do and nowhere to go. :]

Re: iEatReeds, hahaha, the same exact thing happened to me! I was talking to my friend who applied to the Sciences (I applied to IS, just like you), and she talked about how she got an email notifying her that her app was received. I freaked out.

I want to get into this so, so badly. Oh gosh. I'm extremely nervous.

I applied for International Studies. My county sent a letter letting me know that I was a "finalist" (whatever that means) in late December/early January, but I'm super nervous about getting in.

I went to NJGSS last summer and am willing to answer helpful questions. At Drew, we were allowed to sign ourselves off campus, but only for four hours at a time. We saw Dark Knight, rushed back to sign in, and then went out for dinner..
