NJ Governor's School 2009

I heard from a friend that our counselor said that letters will be sent, like, around the 15th. I'm double-checking with her to see if that's true.

Thirty kids.

Might as well start looking for a summer job now. :[

pianokeys55: Same here. Hopefully I'll see you there!

My friend applied to the Sciences school and got an email saying he was waitlisted. I expect a letter by Tuesday at the latest. If later, whatever.

Waitlisted at science :(

Everyone who was accepted:

Doesn't a nice 3 week cruise from July 12-August 2 sound nice right now? :P

i was waitlisted for science too :[
ughhh more waiting...

Ahh! so many people waitlisted! :(

Accepted @ science :)

Congratulations! :)

Oh no, this makes me so nervous about when the International Studies decisions come out.

Ugh, my friend, who applied for the Sciences, was denied.

I'm soo not getting in.

Lol, but wouldn't it be something if all of us on here who are going for IS got in? CC = good luck charm, fo' sho'.

accepted at the sciences program. =)
honestly, i'm surprised.

Going by this thread, I'm the only one who's even applied for Public Issues.

Or teen political activists don't use the internet.

Just kidding. Funny enough, after tomorrow, I'll be in DC until Monday for spring break. The letters are definitely coming out tomorrow or soon right?

I'd really like to come home to that kind of mail.

My friend got into Sciences. I'm so happy for her!

I am SO nervous. :(

applied for IS -- still havent heard anything. Yikes

hey! i applied to environment, and havent found out yet!

i have those crazy butterflies in my stomach all day.
i know sciences came through email?
do all the other ones come electronically too, or should i be waiting for snail mail?!

Well I'm glad that there were a few people accepted on here. It would be a miracle if all of the CC ISers got accepted. That would be cool though. :) Something is telling me that we'll be waiting until Saturday / next week to find out. I have my prom tomorrow, so I don't want that to be ruined by a rejection. All the waitlists are concerning me too. I really need to start getting my plans together for summer so I would like to know whether or not I'm going as soon as possible.

I really hope I can get off the waitlist for science! I want to go SO badly.

I wonder how many are on it and how many they usually take off.

Accepted people: do you know if you are definitely attending? I don't know if I should get my hopes up or not. This is my only opportunity to do something this summer because I don't have enough money to pay for tuition based programs :(.

How challenging is the material at gov school? One of my friends who went there said most of the material wasn't hard at all. What are some of the topics covered there?

Hmmm if I get accepted to the Cornell Nanobiotech Research Internship or the Princeton Plasma Physics Research Internship, then I'll forgo my spot at the sciences. But the Cornell thing has a 0.83% acceptance rate so meh.

Congrats to all who got in! I can't wait till they send out the acceptance letters to all the other schools (or denial letters.) Honestly, right now im saying to myself, "oh don't worry if you don't get in, it's ok, there are other opportunities in life" But when i see the results and when i don't get in im probably going to be very dissapointed. Ok maybe cry! LOL

well it said in the email that sometimes only 1 or 2 get in from the waiting list :[
ughh i really really wanna go. but 1 or 2 is pretty impossible...

WOO! got accepted to sciences!
99.17% sure that I'm going (because of the .83% acceptance rate at Cornell Nanobiotech), so extremely likely...
