I visited and loved CU but we are worried about the distance. I'm close to my family and I'm definitely a homebody but I really loved the atmosphere and campus at CU. Do you think that the 2000 miles are going to be too hard?

Well the nice things is it won’t be a huge culture shock. Th people out there are accepting and awesome. However, you will have to fly back in forth, if that’s fine than the distance should be no problem:)

I think it will be a good experience. It’s not really the distance, it’s the door to door travel time. College is a protected environment to get to know another part of the country and try out being on your own. With internet, skype, cell phones and all, it is so easy to keep in touch. You will have summer and winter breaks to enjoy time at home.

Just remember that freshman year is an adjustment for most people and it is normal to be a little lonely and homesick wherever you are. By sophmore year you will have developed deeper friendships and be feeling at home there.
