Nmh

I chose NMH over The Hill as well as Loomis Chaffee. Was this a good choice?

You won’t know until you get there. If you are happy and advancing academically and socially then it was a good choice.

no…

Padre13: Thanks.

Fun is fun: Why do you think it was a bad decision? Elaborate please.

Just foolin’ – you’ve made your choice, good luck.

I know I have made my decision, but I am still looking for some input. So, maybe I should have rephrased the original question. NMH, Loomis, Hill, which one would you choose and why?

I am biased and everyone here knows that. I have one son who is an NMH graduate and another who is a current student. Couldn’t be happier. Looked at all of the “top” schools and chose NMH hands-down over all of them.

I can’t make any comparisons as I don’t know much about the other two schools. The only drawback I’ve heard for Loomis is the lower percentage of boarders.

I don’t think you will be disappointed with NMH, though.

There is no upside to second guessing your decision. It will only cause heartache. In life, embrace the decisions you make, and move forward. They are all good schools.

that is the dumbest decision i have ever heard , what is wrong with ur brain u shld have gne to loomis (no offense)

Are you the same vijay that told a poster to “suck his dad?”

You’ve clearly come a long way since then

kelylme: I hope to have a great experience at NMH and I am quite sure I will

toadstool: Thanks for the great advice. My parents say the same thing. They tell me to accept my decision whether it be right or wrong, to stand by it, and to make the most of it.

vjrocks: Just bc u are going to loomis doesnt mean everyone else should. Someone should go where they feel is the best fit for them and that for me is NMH

Same guy who was insulting other kids SSAT scores when he had a fifty percentile under his belt? When Exeter rejected you they did you a very nice favor, by the way. They sent your name in for admission to Podunk Remedial College, I think you are in.

At the original poster: I do not know enough about Northfield Mount Hermon to produce a valid comment, but from hearsay I believe it is a great school. They have their own gold course, and many other facilities which will cater to your growth. Both of your other choices are great, but I believe you have made the right one. Good luck!

NMH is a great school with a big, beautiful campus and a very kind student body. You made your choice for a reason - don’t second guess yourself. You’ll have a great time at NMH.

Best of luck!

Thanks guys. Even though I am headstrong with my choice, any other comments are welcome.

bump!!!

My son faced the same problem and also chose NMH. He has been very happy. It is a great school with a diverse student body. He would be considered an “athlete” and has all kinds of friends from singers to actors.

The academics are top notch. He came from a highly respected tough middle school and he is learning alot. He recently commented that he felt like the teachers really want him to learn and to apply the information.

You made a great decision and you won’t regret it.

Thanks warriorboy648!

My dad went to NMH (back in the 70s), so while I’ve never actually been and don’t know much about it, he enjoyed it.
