Just remember, every day that goes by w/no news increases the likelihood you’ll all hear something the next day.
What is the highest possible PSAT score? The SI format.
- New scale is max 760 rather than 800.
Thanks, @LOUKYDAD
2018 Son is sitting on a 219 in Oklahoma. I want to feel safe with this, but the ledge beckons.
I wonder how many students have a SI of 228. The highest I ever saw is 225.
You are in great shape. OK was 213 last year. Very rare for a state to increase 4 points, much less 7. I know what you mean though. Hard to relax until it is confirmed.
@prodesse, I know a girl at 226. Missed 2 or 3 questions on the whole test, D says.
@HeliMom74 I feel ya. D’s at 217, which should be safe here by every metric, but it will still be a huge relief when we find out for sure.
S knows of two 228s at his school.
I apologize if listing my boy’s score seemed tacky to anyone. I needed reassurance in the final nutty hours of this absurdly drawn-out process.
@HeliMom74 no worries here! this is a very appropriate place to post scores!
@JBStillFlying - I was reading your note of encouragement telling us all “Just remember, every day that goes by w/no news increases the likelihood you’ll all hear…” and my mind was thinking, is there some clever reason why it’s good news for us that things are delayed? And I had this positive feeling. For a split second. Until I realized you got me. Thanks for the laugh.
@P85047 - well, it’s what got me through this time last year LOL.
Nope, and although I tried I can’t figure out what you are implying. I meant regional…without quotation marks.
Anyway, good luck to everyone, it seems incredibly stressful!!
I have a 226 - 760 reading and 740 math. Ironically I’m planning on engineering but always do a little better in reading on standardized tests. Also got a 36 on the ACT, didn’t study as much for the SAT (didn’t even want to take it!) but based on recent practice tests expecting 1550-1580. But, yeah, freaked out when I heard my PSAT score (I have a friend who works for the school district and told me a couple days early too!)
My S has same score as last years cutoff so not hopeful that he will make the cut. He subsequently scored a 34 on his ACT and I’m wondering if he still has an opportunity for a full ride scholarship with his ACT score assuming he doesn’t make the cut for NMSF. Any ideas?
@3scoutsmom thank you for that list Very helpful.
@DavidPuddy yes my apologies. I believe most schools offering NMF scholarships only cover housing of freshman year. If I am not mistaken and I may be…Ms State may actually give what I call a full ride. Thanks for the correction.
LOL are we at the same school? No one knows what it is here either. S1 was commended and not a peep from the school, so around February he went to his GC and asked if a certificate had ever come for him. Eventually he located it and handed it to S in the hallway one morning.
There are some that cover housing for four years, UCF, TT, UTD, UNM, UA Huntsville just off the top of my head.
Add Ole Miss and U of KY (historically, may be changing).
