@Kayak24 -I say boo right there with you!
@amyandscott I sent you a PM
Yes things seem different this year.
The quietest corner is Art’s. Nothing happening over there. Maybe last year’s volume was due to the heightened interest surrounding the new scaling (which was expected to change the majority of cut-offs). This year might be a better indication of how it normally is.
We are a homeschool family in MN. My dd is sitting at a 221. Last year cutoff a 219. Still nothing will post if we hear. She does have a friend with a perfect score here in MN so we will know when he hears.
Last year had a ton of buzz because the scoring changed. Everyone knew the cutoffs would be changing but no one knew to what. There were some pretty big ranges being discussed. That hadn’t been the case for years before that. Much less the case this year. There is a pretty narrow range. And after this year, I would expect it will narrow even more. Prior to last year, several states were pretty constant and others varied by 2-3 points from year to year. I understand none of that is helpful to someone who is within any given predicted range. Patience and good luck to all.
Oh my gosh… we GOT IT!!! Details to follow… but dd has a 223 in Iowa, so no real info for ledge sitters.
Congrats, @iahomeschoolmom !
Any data point is helpful. Yay! This means that others may be getting news today as well. Floodgates, we are ready! \m/
@iahomeschoolmom , CONGRATULATIONS!!! And thank you for making my day with a real letter! Woohoo!! :x Buckle up, everyone! And again, Congratulations on the official word, iahomeschoolmom!
Congrats, @iahomeschoolmom !! Hope this means others will hear today as well!
Woo hoo - let’s get this party started!
It was in a large, flat envelope: approximately 9 x 11".
If I’m recalling correctly, last years SAT confirming SI was eventually something like 206. Commended was 209. As soon as NMSF status is “official” you should be able to call NMSC and ask them if your student’s SAT SI is good enough.
Way to go, @iahomeschoolmom !!! Congratulations to your D and the whole family and thank you for sharing official news!
Wow! Congrats to @iahomeschoolmom and thank you for posting! Shout-Out to ALL our Homeschooling parents who are posting here. Thank you for the intel. I’m heading off to post on a regional homeschooling board, so I’ll provide updates if/when I receive any. We are in Kansas, so if Iowa has the NMSC mail then DS’s school may also have it, too…though I believe mail does not go directly to the school, but to the district office first. So that adds at least 1 day to the delivery. UGH.
VERY happy for your news!
IA <= 223. Is anyone planning to keep the list of states updated?
