NMSC e-mail to confirm major

<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>My S, who is a NMF, received an e-mail yesterday from NMSC asking him to confirm his choice of major. I'm trying to read the tea leaves here. Did anyone else get that? What do you suppose that means, if anything?</p>

<p>Does he have an unusual major? There are a few corporate scholarships targetted to certain majors.</p>

<p>Does your company give NMF scholarships? If so, do they only give them to STEM majors?</p>

<p>Or, is his #1 school choice only giving NMF scholarships competitively.</p>

<p>@mom2collegekids: Thanks for the info. It’s not for my company, unfortunately. But his #1 school does have awards for NMFs, and maybe they are divvied up by major. So maybe that’s it. Thanks for your help!</p>
