No Alumni Interview Contact Yet

No contact yet as of Feb 2nd.

I hope it’s not too late to contribute my two cents. I was admitted ED to Wharton last December, and I did not have an interview.

First off, you should check to see if your closest region has an ACTIVE Secondary School Committee (Alumni network responsible for scheduling interviews). To do this, google Penn Interview and it should be the first link (Sorry, I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post links on this site). If your SSC is not active, don’t expect an interview, period. My SSC was inactive, despite all surrounding SSC’s being active. When I called the Alumni Council on Admissions (215) 898-6888, the very nice lady stressed to me not to worry, and if I feel necessary, I can send in an additional recommendation as a substitute, which I did immediately.

Now as of active SSC, the selection is random, if not based on who submitted his/her application first. In any case, from what I’ve read and heard, alumnus interview is generally not very important, particularly for RD applicants.

Best of wishes to you all!

I apologize if I added to paranoia.
that wasn’t my intent. I was just concerned that if no college had contacted him, common app may have glitched. Obviously that is not the case.
Goodluck
