transfer admission? what if I’m just a senior who isn’t taking dual enrollment? This is pretty ridiculous since I got admitted to Michigan OOS but can’t get a decision from Florida in state

@Melissa – where did you hear that? I’m curious because when I visited the campus last summer I spoke to both my freshman/homeschool admissions counselor and one of the transfer counselors and was told that my application would be looked at by both offices and I had to be admitted by both offices. Basically, the info I got was that because of my credits I was hit by a double whammy – it was necessary that I was accepted by both offices to get in. Not sure if it’s changed since then.

Also, I don’t think the new message about being reviewed by the transfer office means too much and I wouldn’t stress about it if anyone’s seeing it – it’s what I had last week and I did receive my decision yesterday. So it’s probably some glitch beyond being seen as a transfer student.

ETA: maybe it’s your major that hasn’t gotten around to reviewing your app? I am poli sci, I doubt UF has a huge influx of those compared to chem or another science.

Truly, it is how hs/aa dual enrollment works. You get the whole freshman review - if you can be admitted through that avenue then you will. If UF cannot offer freshman admission - you get the transfer review to see if you can be admitted that way.

OK, well I guess I’ve just never heard that before. Regardless, I had the same message you had yet was admitted as a freshman. So it might not be the be-all-end-all.

alto when did you find out your decision?

Last night

so you tried signing in again and it told you that you were admitted? I still get the same error

Yeah, once the app status went down Wednesday I didn’t have access to the “freshman/transfer review” page again. Yesterday starting around 5 I got a million and one 503 error messages until about 7 when I got the acceptance page.

I’ve been trying to access my decision since 5pm yesterday, all I get is:

The Office of Admissions has completed a preliminary review of your application for admission.

Please look at the tables below to determine whether your application file is complete. Missing materials can delay your admission notification. If you have recently sent these materials, please allow processing time, especially around application deadlines; materials sent by regular mail take a minimum of two-to-three weeks’ processing time. Check your application status as often as you need to verify receipt of materials.

and everything is complete (transcripts, scores sent, application fee)

I put undecided on my application because at the time I was truly undecided.
I have since made up my mind, but the community college I take classes from doesn’t even offer the prerequisites that were listed for that major.
So, I doubt I will be accepted.
