<p>I'm a Native American student from Florida trying to see if I'm even in the range for applying to NYU.</p>
<p>I've got solid ECs but no athletics and I'll be the first one to attend college in my family.</p>
<p>If I've got a 3.75 gpa uw, 4.5 w, in the top 1% or 2% of my IB Class, and got a 26 on my ACT, is it even possible to get into Stern or CAS?</p>
<p>i think you have a good shot. native american will definitely help because NYU is all about diversity (we even had a diversity workshop at orientation). also first one to attend college in your family is a bonus.... both of these will help you out.... give you that extra edge. your uw gpa is the same as mine and your weighted is higher .... i got into CAS...... so i think you have a pretty good shot. maybe get your ACT score up.... cuz if i remeber a 26 is equivalent to like an 1100 on the SAT.... so ya try and get that up.</p>
<p>I think you are in a perfectly fine position to get into either CAS or Stern, particularly CAS. The only thing that might be stopping you is your test scores, so yeah, try to get those up.</p>

<p>Also, If I apply to CAS, would I still have an equal chance applying RD as opposed to ED?</p>
<p>You would probably have a higher chance if you apply ED, but i don't recommend doing that with ANY school unless you are 100% certain that its your first choice. You don't want to have any regrets right?</p>
<p>thats exactly why i didnt apply ED to any school.... because i was never 100% sure where i wanted to go.</p>
