No FinAid or scholarship email...what gives?

Hello Everyone..

I'm starting to get a little worried over why I haven't received a FAFSA email from Berkeley (I hear people got them yesterday..) even though I submitted my FAFSA on January 7th of this year. I hope they are still sending them out, because the ONLY FinAid email I've gotten from a UC is from UC Irvine. I did only report my family's estimated income/tax revenue for 2013 as my parents have not filed taxes yet...could this be why?

I also didn't even receive the "Achievement Award Program," email from UCB that others on this forum say EVERYONE gets...and I'm 100% sure that I selected the "I'm interested in scholarships," box in the UC application while I was applying...

Have I already been rejected? :( Can anyone confirm if getting these emails are any indicator of your application status? I know Berkeley is a reach for me because of my scores but I thought I had an "ok-ish" chance (4.33 UC gpa, 29 ACT, 720 math 2, 740 bio m, ELC status etc).

I have been told by financial aid office of UCB that regent scholarship invitations are going out until 1st week of March. However, most of the posts I have seen are from 11th & 12th Feb. Your stats are decent for at least L&S at UCB

I’ve been early accepted to both Cal and UCI but I have not gotten anything about need based financial aid. Both of the acceptance letters said to wait until normal acceptance (April 1 I think) because that’s when I’ll get the aid package. I submitted my FAFSA fairly recently though (still, it’s not due for a couple of weeks). I got an email for the Regents’ Scholarship and the Leadership Scholarship around Feb 12 though.

The Achievement Award is only for families that make less than $86k so you might earn more than that and not qualify (my family makes more, but not much so we should still get some need-based).

By the way, your stats seem okay except that ACT score.
