I'll have you know that I am a very friendly person. I just don't like crowds and don't like it when alot of people want to talk at the same time..the less people there are; the smoother the dialogue is.

PS: I've applied to every Medical school I know of.

you know, geeks DO NOT have 0 friends.
i think everyone (especially geeks) has friends

plus, DEFINE "GEEK"
i'm a "geek" cuz i concentrate on loooots of academmics and care alllot about my grades.
but i have a social life
i do lots of extreacurricular activities, which, trust me, drives you nuts. but it's worth it.

maybe its just me, but while I have a lot of friends, they seem like superficial friendships. I mean, we hang out and all, but we dont really tell each other our deep thoughts or feelings.

AznN3rd, same thing for me, probably because everyone's too busy being an overachiever at my school to actually communicate with you. Conversations are limited to schoolwork, homework, teachers, upcoming school events. My friends hate it when I try and get "deep" because they say they don't have the time/energy/desire to think about those kinds of things - say, the purpose of art.

Thank goodness I have friends outside of school, haha. In four years we'll graduate and probably never speak again.

Like Jo.InC. I have friends but I don't have a so-called "best friend" or anything. I talk to different people in and out of class (usually). I'm the kind of person who really doesn't mind spending time alone or with my family. I think having a "clique" is high school is kind of overrated in the sense that it really isn't weird to NOT have one.

You're in high school, I didn't know they were letting high schoolers into med school? Is this what is happening to our health-care system?
[/quote]

I'm a senior and I've applied already.
What does the health care system have to do with it?

Btw, I normally would not even care to respond, but since I think it's much more amusing to argue with strangers on internet forums, I'm going to put off writing my seven page english paper.

bendrumfront, did it ever occur to you that different countries have different educational systems?
Long story short..it doesn't matter what university I apply to as long as I write down the field I'll be studying.

Just be yourself. If people don't apreciate you for you then **** them. You're going to go to a great college/university and make friends who like you for you. In 10 years at your reunion they're going to be working the night shift at Mickey D's while you're like a millionaire
Don't even worry about it

technically 10 yrs later he wont be super rich, since hes going to do medicine.

Okay, that's the first time I've heard anyone say that. Almost every Doctor I know is filthy rich. Medicine is, over here at least, the most saught after profession of them all (bec. it pays really well) - but I guess it's different in other places.
