I've created MyMIT account, and under "Interview information" I can see:
"Unfortunately, there is not an Educational Counselor assigned to your area; your interview has been waived."

I'm aware it was unlikely that any interviewer is nearby my area (Poland) but I was hoping for Skype video-conversation.

What should I do now?

I know MIT says that non-interviewing won't influence on admission, but I hoped I will show "real me" during interview. Should I ask them about Skype conversation or simply give up and do my best in essay?

You can try calling the Admissions Office at 617-253-3400, which is closed until Monday (due to Veteran’s Day + Weekend). You may try to convince them to assign an EC for Skypeing.

P.S: If calling US is a problem, you can try using Google Voice which, I remember, is free until end of the year.

It also depends on where in Poland you are. There are two EC’s in Poland, both in the south, one in Rzeszow, and one in Krakow. You may also be near a border and can possibly interview elsewhere, for example, in Eastern Germany. Send a note to the admissions office and inquire if it would be possible for you to be assigned to EC that you might have to travel to a little bit.

I found it as I have access to the global EC directory.

I should note that from time to time, it can happen that an interviewer needs to have a season off, and will not be interviewing that year, but in previous years, I have personally communicated with the EC in Rzeszow.

For a question like this write to the Educational Council office at interview@mit.edu

Personally I would contact the “sure thing” skype interviewer, rather than wait. The sooner you get an interview, the better and you don’t want to miss out on the opportunity all together.
