I never received anything about an interview...am I alone in this?? Or are interviews only offered to a small portion of Yale's applicants? Does this have any bearing on the decision? I'm pretty nervous now... :-/

This was an oft-discussed topic recently. Have a read here:

Best of luck to you

i didn't receive one. i applied october 1st but still got nothing so i called and asked. the lady who talked to me said the interviews are on a lottery system and not every area has interviewers as well.

I feel your pain; I didn't get an interview either...but no one from my school got an interview because it depends on your region and I guess my region is pretty lame.

Anyway, everyone has told me that an interview doesn't really affect your chances at all; it could help you a little (like, a minute amount) if you happen to have a good interview, which led me to feel a little indignant because I need all the help I can get. But then I read the thread linked below and a tiny bit better (how sadistic am I?) because at least I didn't mess up horribly in a nonexistent interview!

Read the thread RD Interview Advice or something to that effect originally created by a Yale alumni interviewer, AdmissionsAddict.
