No Time To Take Sat Junior Year....problem?

Hi everyone. Unfortunately, I didn't take the SAT yet. I'm currently a junior and I don't want to sign up for the MAY date because I'm going to be busy studying for 5 ap test exams. I cannot sign up for JUNE either because I want to take SAT IIs, then. Would it be bad or stupid to take my SAT in October so I can study it for during summer and have preparation for it? ANY SUGGESTIONS/COMMENTS WOULD BE HELPFUL...

You could always try taking it without any prep in May

I think it would be good to have a base for what to study over the summer. But that depends on how many times your going to take it your senior year. If its just one, theirs no harm in taking it in May

Take it even if you can't prep. You won't have any idea what colleges you can apply to till late October if you wait till then and sometimes applying early is key to acceptance. You're obviously pretty smart if you're taking 5 AP's and may get high scores with minimal prep. A lot of colleges only take the top scores anyway, so it won't hurt you to get subpar scores in May and better scores in October. Maybe try to do 20 minutes a day of practice questions?

you should still take it. I am in this same situation, but my mom convinced me to go ahead and take it on may 3 even though IB exams are coming up. Since you are well off academically it seems then you shouldn't have much to worry about because it merely is a test of what you know, not how much you can cram in before test day. good luck!
