Im really hoping that all this waiting will be worth it. Does anyone know how many students opted in for waitlist? I hope we find out by this week. I graduate next week :(

Im graduating in two days, so I’m kind of hoping I don’t have to start summer break not knowing where I’ll be going.

Called UCR today and they still have no set date yet but they will for sure be admitting students from the waitlist. They have a lot of last minute SIR cancellations.

A lot of sir cancelations = more room for us!!! I hope we get in!! I’m so nervous!! I called and they said that their goal was to accept people by the end of this week.

hell yeahh its about timeeee i need to get ucr quick before my orientation for other school goodluck to everyone :D

Called UCR again today and they keep giving different answers. This time its a different person and they said that they are not sure whether or not they are not accepting people off the waitlist. What are they trying to do to us :(

according to them, this year is a very unique year. they said they received a lot of SIRs and also losing a lot of SIRs. so yeah. Social Science department isnt as packed as others. but they really don’t have an idea.

essencematters, I’m sorry for the conflicting messages ): UCR hasn’t reached any decisions about whether or not we’re admitting from the waitlist. They also haven’t decided when a decision will be made. You might have spoken with someone who wasn’t completely informed or received different information. Officially, Undergraduate Admissions is still waiting to receive notice from the Chancellor/college departments.

I also called UCR, they said they’re not sure when they’re going to release decisions (today was the goal), but they’re definitely (don’t quote me on this) going to be releasing them by the end of this month which is next thursday. They said they’re getting so many last minute SIR cancellations (something we all knew for a while) and they’re waiting on admissions councilors and different departments to be able to determine how much room they’ll have for this year. When I asked why last minute SIR’s affected wait list decisions, they said it was because theres a better chance for more people to get in off the wait list, therefore, they’re trying to figure out exactly how much in which departments will get in. Once wait list decisions have been made, THEN appeals will be accepted, if you’re still not in.

@NDD101 thats what they told me a few days ago when I called. Did you call today? (friday the 25th) IF WE GET IN, LETS ALL CELEBRATE GUYS! :))

if we get in, we are most likely to be put into the same dorm too!

I’m sure we will all get in I mean we have a really good chance! If we don’t get in we can just appeal too. I have a question, I might be getting a D in pre calculus this semester, and this is my only D. I’ve already taken 3 other math classes and I wasn’t required to take this class. Will riverside kick me out because of my D?

By only D i mean the first D I’ve gotten in all four years of high school :(

@essence yeah I called yesterday the 25th.
Idk I’m hoping we get in, but honestly all this waiting just makes everything so frustrating.

@NDD101 I just personally feel like UCR is really trying to make room for waitlist students. If they really didn’t have room, they would have rejected everyone right away or asap. But right now they are trying their best to open as many opportunities as possible. They could have just left it as it is and denied everyone from the list

@Essence, I agree, It’s just frustrating waiting to find out, but I feel that the waiting would lead to something good because like you said, they could’ve just said no.

So since they said we should here something before the end of the month for sure, that means anytime between tuesday and thursday of this week, right?

Hi guys, I’m also on the waitlist for UCR
The wait has been so long but I hope we get an answer soon… Good luck to us! :)

Still no news on MyUCR. Has anyone tried calling or gotten more information?

Called in again today, still no set date.

Do you think they’ll notify us when theres a change? Cause I’m getting tired of checking.
