Hi, I just had a very quick question about the $400 non-refundable deposit we have to pay when accepting admission from Smith. Will it get deducted from my tuition or should I just wave goodbye to it?

It’s applied towards tuition. You only wave goodbye to it if you decide to attend another institution.

The $400 enrollment deposit is not fully applied against tuition. $200 is applied against tuition and the balance is held by Smith College as a room deposit to offset any housing damage cost or other expense. If no such damage or expense exists then the $200 will be returned after graduation.

My D had $200 taken off of each of her first two semesters’ tuition bill ($400 total).

Thanks for the information!
