A counselor today told me that this coming Thursday was the day they would announce it

Why can’t they just announce it now… -_-

But thanks for that information!

OOS people find out Thursday also?

An admissions rep told me earlier today that most of the decisions would be given by Friday. I received my decision today so I guess they have already started sending them out.

^Did you get in? Stats?

I was accepted into Plan II last week, but from what I understand they follow a separate admissions process than the rest of UT. Earlier today though, I was accepted into the College of Communication (I found out online).

My academics were decent (30 ACT, top 20% class rank), so I’m pretty sure it was my EC’s and essays that they liked.

how on earth did you get into Plan II? is your dad the dean?

Did anyone find out today?

Juan, according to the website, the mean ACT score for Plan II is about a 30, and numbers only make up 20% of the criteria they use… so I think bobo’s stats are more than good enough :)

I got my acceptance today, although not to my first choice major (liberal arts), which I’m sort of surprised about. I thought liberal arts wasn’t so competetive.

^Congrats! What major did you get in then? And if possible, could you share your stats.

Has anyone heard that they have not been accepted?

How did you find out? through normal mail or online?

seems like they send out acceptance letters before rejections…Nobody at my school that I’ve asked received a rejection letter yet and i don’t think anyone on here has either (from the other posts I’ve read)…

my freindd with decent stats has already been rejected.

oh…what was his/her stats? oos or in state?

Please, anyone who’s been admitted or rejected non top ten, share your stats.

Thanks.
And ~13%, 2100+ SAT, Geosciences.

Accepted, yay! I was admitted to the College of Fine Arts with a major in Design in mid-February after turning my application in around the deadline date. Turning in a portfolio probably helped me because my stats are poopy. For those who are interested:

Academics: All AP/GT if not elective.
Class Rank: 141/600-something (23%)
SAT: 1910 (Don’t take it cold turkey like me. I wanted to re-take it and study next time, but Senioritis took over. Oops. Bahaha.)
AP Exams:
English Language AP - 4
U.S. History AP - 4
Extracurricular Activities:
NHS
Church volunteering stuff
Yearbook Assistant Editor
Historian for three random clubs
Worked Junior and Senior year
Essays: Decent, but I wish I had someone to look over them.

I also have a sibling currently attending UT, but I don’t know if that means anything.

I also got into geosciences today, as my second choice (liberal arts first choice).
12%, 2020 SAT, and decent extracurriculars. SAT score wasn’t great, but I also think geosciences isn’t as competitive in relation to the other schools. But I am extremely relieved nevertheless.
