Non-traditional student/OOS transfer

Hi,

I am currently a Senior in college and will be graduating soon. Now, this is my situation. I only recently discovered my passion in life and was quite excited because the school I currently go to has the majors that I would ideally liked to be enrolled in. However, they are competitive. I went and talked to the admissions counselor(s) for the majors only to discover that applying/internal transfer at this point would be impossible because of my advance standing at the University. They said that I could graduate and start the program next year with no problem, but I figured since I am quite unhappy with this school (location/weather/people) I was hoping to apply as a non-traditional student at University of Texas - Austin.

I'm not sure if anyone has gone through the same process as someone with a Bachelor's degree already, applying for a second. If anyone has information on this process specific to UT let me know! And thanks to whoever reads this entire post! Stats as follows:

High School:
Non-Ranking, so I would guess top 20%
GPA: 3.75
ACT: 33
SAT: 2100
Elite Choir
AP Classes
Graduated with Honors

College:
Honors Student, scholarship recipient
Dual Degree
GPA: 3.7 (currently, also on this subject...I had bad grades - B's - for 2 quarters my Freshman year but have earned all A's since, in higher level coursework)
Athlete
Help to rebuild a Cultural Club
Help to build an a-capella community
2 Part-time jobs

What major do you want to do at UT for your 2nd bachelors? I applied for fall 2012 (also as a 2nd bachelors applicant) for EE, after getting a degree in Econ, so maybe we can talk!

Awesome! I’m interested in their Athletic training and exercise science majors. I would love to talk and see what your experience has been like/how it turns out! Are you an out of state student?

Yeah, I’m actually from Ohio too (if you are from Columbus haha)
