No, I don't think not getting called back means they weren't interested in you. They didn't call anyone back at my audition in NYC. I think that was because of the sheer numbers who were at the NYC audition.

From what I've gathered on this website, at certain audition locations call backs happened, and at other locations they didn't.

Back to UNCSA.

Do people think the program at UNCSA is wildly better than the programs at Syracuse or Pace?

Thanksss

OMG ... sorry for any confusion. I was in a rush this morning and thought the discussion was about SUNY Purchase, which did have call-backs on-campus. You are absolutely correct. There were no call-backs for NCSA. I'm so sorry!

I was talking about USC (BFA Theatre) Sorry I wasn't clear - these threads move along at a pretty fast clip! Now I see that I've, somehow, ended up on the NCSA thread. I'm lost! I've forgotten my question. My D is waiting to hear from USC School of Theatre and I was asking ? regarding those who have been accepted/rejected/waiting for Fall 09.

My specific question was for BrownEyes but I'd like to hear from anyone re this subject!

Nick, what yardstick are you using to measure "better"? I think people might be willing to weigh in on the various schools you mentioned, but people first need to know what specific training and college goals you have.

Okay... I have officially decided our home will receive no mail from UNCSA. It is as if my D never auditioned for them, although I distinctly remember the experience. If they mailed last week and the week before, it should have hit San Diego by now.

chrissyblu, lol! Maybe you guys should just call the admissions office at NCSA and ask ...

Hi,
I'm a new member here lol auditioned for UNCSA in JANUARY and i'm still waiting!! My parents suggested I call tomorrow too.

Still waiting on NCSA too. Even the high school kids at NCSA found out on Monday, and they are traditionally supposed to be the last to find out! Well I guess I'm just praying that no news is good news...

Nothing... emailed them. No reply.

I got my rejection letter today.

Hi I am new as well, however I have kept up with this thread for some time now...I too am an applicant to UNCSA, having auditioned for the bachelor of music degree (vocal performance). I have not received any information from this school since my audition (January 31), so I am in the same position many of you are facing. Coming home with a very positive experience at this school, I am one to say how excited I was that my audition (and sightreading!) went extremely well. However, the lack of news from this school both frightens and encourages me. Are many of you taking "no news" as good news at this point?I know most on this thread are drama/film majors, but is there anyone who has information concerning the music school??

Thanks!

Im in Ga and Im still waiting. I auditioned Feb 28th, which wasnt that long ago, but I just thought I would tell you guys that youre not alone.

Thank you : ) Good luck to everyone else!!!!

It seems that these acceptances come out in waves, some more than a month apart. Do they have "tiers" of acceptances? In other words, do they send out acceptances to their first choices then based on those people who accept THEM, send out further acceptances? There is NO WAY they could still be making up their minds a month after other people have already been notified.

The rumor is they reject first. Last year, an extremely talented young woman who was accepted EVERYWHERE (and I mean everywhere, including CMU for Acting) heard from NCSA LAST! And she heard at the very end of March, I mean last couple of days (like what would be this weekend or maybe Monday or Tuesday.) We first heard rejections. Then we heard a sprinkling of acceptances, but not a lot. Most recent was a few days ago. No wait lists yet. I get the impression that since it is a smaller school, things take more time.

I know one girl who auditioned the same time as my D was accepted. She doesn’t post here. I know four others who have posted here. That’s 5. There are 28-32 in the class (they do accept more than they think they will get.) Who knows?

oh, i want to get in so bad!
i still havent heard anything!!!

did someone say that they are transferring to UNCSA?

Who here is excited to work with Mr. Freedman?

I cannot believe I am talking to potential future classmates…this is so surreal…
