<p>I’d love for the results to come the 13th too. Do we get a notification email when the decision comes or do we have to keep checking the application status thing?</p>
<p>Is the decision coming in an email, on the website, or do we get a letter?</p>
<p>In past years, on decision release day, emails are sent out to all EA applicants telling them that decisions are ready and provides a link to the NU account where you log in to view the decision. It is followed up with a snail mail letter.</p>
<p>Decisions are released over several hours moving from east to west throughout the country. Some applicants try to log into the system before receiving an email resulting in slow response times for all applicants. Also, the admissions office has to put extra staff on the phones that week to answer applicants questions as to when the decisions will be released. The answer you will get is “by December 31st.” so it is useless to call them.</p>
<p>FYI, since there seems to be some uncertainty on when decisions start coming out, I thought I’d post here… I landed up meeting with one of the admissions counselors at an alum meet and they told me decisions go out on Thursday which is the 13th…</p>

<p>Almost positive, the only reason it wouldn’t be is if the storm set things back. Seems so early but I’m definitely expecting Thursday starting around 4pm.</p>

<p>Every year for (at least) the past 6 years, decisions have come out this thursday, in the evening. There’s no guarantee that this will happen again this year, but I’d bet $5 that it will.</p>
<p>They are released by region, usually with MA/CT/RI etc released sometime early evening, with NY/PA/MD/NJ released an hour or two later, then moving along to other regions. Don’t freak out if people have gotten theirs and you haven’t. It will come sometime the same night.</p>
<p>ABW, you are accepted into the major you selected. Very few EA applicants are rejected. Most are deferred to regular admission.</p>
<p>So basically, living in Florida, I’m not sleeping on Thursday? Just waiting?

<p>I thought that decisions were released after the 15th? I found this blog of one of the admissions counselors, and last year decisions were released on the 15th, and two years ago they were released on the 16th. </p>
<p>Northeastern is my top choice… I’m so nervous!!!</p>
