Northeastern Early Decision vs Early Action

Should i do early decision or early action for Northeastern?
It is without a doubt my top choice and from what i know theres a 13% higher acceptance rate of doing EA than RD. Will Early Decision boost my chances even more? My SATs are a tad below their average and i hear that ED will pit me up against higher qualified applicants than those of RD… HELP!

@steven4998 Are you full pay or do you need aid? If you are full pay, go ahead and apply early decision if NEU is your #1 choice… if you are not, then I wouldn’t recommend it.

I would need aid so how about Early Action?

Early Action is fine. They will give you their decision by end of December and I think that it will include the financial aid (not positive on this, others may know).

Alright thank you. I feel like early action may be my best bet for they can always deferr me to regular admissions which they do for a lot of their applicants that do EA, at least to my understanding.

There is absolutely no risk applying EA to NEU: they encourage it strongly, and if you have any sort of shot but aren’t accepted, you should be deferred.

Anyone know the average gpa/sat/act for last years early decision applicants who got accepted?

Or just their early decision acceptance rate
