I have another question, can transfers have a dorm to themselves rather than having a roommate? Is it more expensive to have a whole dorm to yourself or is it the same?

Got all of my materials in by early March and I was wondering why I had not heard anything from them yet. This makes me feel a bit better! I originally applied in high school and got in to the NEUin program, but it was too expensive.
Stats: I had a 4.0 at Framingham State University when I applied this time as a transfer, although it will probably go down quite a bit this semester.

@cctransfer212 I feel like that would depend completely on space availability. They said transfer housing is never guaranteed. And it is more expensive to have a single.

Thanks ^^ i prefer to have my own room rather than sharing. just doesnt suit me.

I put down my deposit!

does anyone know if you can get your decision sooner if you owe a deposit somewhere else? i have been accepted at trinity college in CT and i don’t want to lose my spot there, but i am not sure which round of decisions i will be in at northeastern and trinity wants a decision by may 5th…would they be willing to give me an answer sooner if i called?

My portal is down today! Does that mean i will get my decision today?

Yes I would say you should expect a decision around 5pm! @cc4110

@klgood Thanks for the info. ^^

Mine is not down =’’’’’(

@dzharkov Mine isn’t down either )’: Maybe we’ll get ours tomorrow???

@peachesorpears hopefully, i am too tired of waiting)

i just checked, and i was admitted as a criminal justice major! have also been accepted at trinity college in CT but i am waiting on several others before i go ahead and make a decision…good luck to everyone else! if people are wondering my stats i will put them below…they are not the best, so there is hope for everyone!

Just got in! school of business

@сс4110 when did you apply?

congrats @cc4110. so is this like an every day process? like the portals going down and the decision coming out the same day?

I applied January 29 and I still haven’t received a decision. Does anyone think this is bad and that I may be getting a rejection? So far it seems like everyone who has posted has been admitted. I applied to Northeastern last year as a freshman but did not get admitted and I have been following this thread but too afraid to post my stats, but I decided to go for it today.

High School GPA: 3.0 unweighted, 3.6 weighted
College GPA: 3.7 unweighted
SAT: math 510, reading 550, writing 620

Extra Curriculars: high school ski team captain, member of pr club on my campus, member of a school newspaper, volunteer at admissions office both in high school and college

I’m not sure what else to add to this but I did call the admissions office to ask when a decision might be released because I have other schools where I need to put down a deposit and make a decision for and the woman I spoke to put a note in my file. Now my biggest concern is that by putting that in my file they will deny me because they think that I am not serious about Northeastern and have other schools that I want to go to which isn’t true Northeastern has been my top choice school since my junior year in high school. I think I am overthinking everything but I applied back in January and still haven’t heard so it is making me nervous. I s anyone else in this position?

@cctransfer212 I think they release once or twice a week, and yes i think your portal will go down before your decision release because the page looks so much different than it was before.

@onemiletoboston4 Your stat looks great and your college GPA is even better than mine so you should definitely get in.

@onemiletoboston4, I’m in the same boat of not hearing yet, except I sent my application in last November. Most of the other schools I applied to have a deposit due on May 1st, and I really don’t want to pay $250 to a school I’m not going to if I get in to Northeastern.

I have no idea what my chances are, but Northeastern is my first choice.

I am currently a marine biology student at Hawaii Pacific with a 3.86 unweighted GPA. I work in the tutoring center here tutoring math and science writing, as well as being a barista and playing French horn in band and orchestra. I’ll be a junior in the fall.
