singinsweetie - i guess we'll find out soon? the decisions were apparently sent out today, i think:) Good luck!

If anyone is going to NEOUCOM via Kent, make sure to post it. I need to sell some textbooks, lol.

thanks meadle24390... good luck to you, too!

i got my acceptance letter today... i'm UA bound! :-)

congratulations singinsweetie

Congrats singinsweetie...

Well, I received my letter from Akron yesterday - I'm deferred for regular admission. I got a letter from Kent State today and I'm an alternate.
So does that mean that as an alternate I would get admitted in regular admission more easily?? Or only if one of the EA folks don't accept??

thanks tangytart and mrslapshot88!

and mrslapshot...i think kent state giving you an alternate status means that you would be accepted if somebody who got accepted for EA (now that i think about it, people that will get accepted through RD as well) decides not to accept the offer. i'm assuming akron was your first choice? best of luck!!!

got my acceptance to YSU!!! but they want to know by next Friday:( I'm going to apply for an extension to May 1st - need to weigh my options!

congratulations meadle! i hope you decide to join me at NEOUCOM next year :-)

lol, you too, singinsweetie!!! :) I wonder if we did see each other at interviews? It's so weird to think that I might go to school with the people I talk to on forums - it's like they'll actually become real people! ok, that was a random side note, lol:)

haha yeah it is really weird to think that you guys are real people, as odd as it sounds...

congratulations singingsweetie2290 and meadle24390 !!
i applied through RA.. haha and i hope we would meet each other one day. :)

me too:) Maybe then you'll take on a real, physical form to me, lol:)

thanks gldfishwrld! and yeah...i really hope we all end up at NEOUCOM and we can actually meet each other, haha :-)

hey im in the program at akron.. if you guys have any questions, feel free to ask!

what do you think of the food?

well the food kinda sucks but its college so what more can you expect? the only places nearby that are open late are fast food, so i eat a lot of late night taco bell.. and the food at the student union is good. the dining hall, rob's cafe, gets pretty sickening and i dont think ive eaten there since the beginning of the summer.

thanks mia, also what is your opinion on the difficulty of the courses as compared to high school AP courses?

well college courses are very different from high school AP courses. the difficulty in college courses for me mostly came from the faster pace of them (especially in the program where you usually take 23 or so credit hours). for example, in my bio 1 class we spent one lecture on meiosis, whereas in high school AP bio we spent a month on meiosis (and thats every day on it). so with college courses the intro ones aren't difficult necessarily, but much faster than AP courses. (then again, some classes like ochem are definitely harder than anything in high school.) either way i think the best high school prep is AP courses because it teaches you how to study and manage your time.

thanks again Mia.

wow...my ap course runs more like the college course then.
