Also I ended up applying to the design program and was wondering if anyone else had to submit a portfolio and if they have any tips for what they would be looking for?
@dogsrcool I would definitely wait at least a week or so before calling. Its Sunday so you’ll probably receive your credentials this week
Okay I wasn’t sure because I wanted to double check if they got my transcripts and everything before the deadline passed
I just got my portal and I am seeing “college report” and “transfer classes taken” required. What do these mean. Also I have already submitted my high school and college transcripts about a week or 2 ago yet they still show up as required/not in portal. Is this simply because I only got access to my portal yesterday?
@Pickled1234 The college report is a document from that Common App that needs to be filled out by representatives of your school, more than likely the Dean of Academic affairs or somebody along those lines. The questions will essentially be about your GPA, class rank, academic standing with the school, recommendation of you, etc. They should know what to do if you bring in that report to an advisor or ask who it needs to go to. Also, I have never heard the words phrased like “transfer classes taken” but I think that they are referring to your current courses maybe? Did they ask you for a midterm grade report or did you already send one in? Or did you maybe opt out of listing courses on your common app because you are sending transcripts? I would call just to be sure. And as far as documents being updated to the portal, I wouldn’t worry about it. Their application processing can take a while. I think they took at least 3 weeks after I submitted my application to update my portal (and I submitted my transcripts a week before I even applied).
See this is why I want to call because I don’t have my portal yet and I want to get all this stuff taken care of, I had my transcripts sent a long time ago and I want to make sure they got them… I also don’t know how to go about getting the college report done
Sorry, the missing document was actually titled “Transfer List of Current Year Courses” anyone know what that means? also where can i find the mid term report file
Hey everyone! This is kinda late but I just submitted my application to Northeastern the other day and wanted to share my stats!

Major:Pre-science/Biochemistry intent
HS GPA:4.0
SAT: 1160 (I did so bad but I hope the rest of my app makes up for it)
College GPA: 3.6

I am also involved with the Campus Ministry in my school, and altar serve for mass occasionally.

I previously applied to NU senior year but was rejected so Im really hoping to get in as it is still my top choice! Good luck to everyone!
@Pickled1234 “transfer list of current year courses” is just a list of the classes you are currently taking at your current institution. I emailed my rep and they said you can just screenshot your student portal from your current school and submit that as your list. Once I did that, it was marked as received.
I applied the other day too, did you get your portal login yet? @royalace
Not yet! @dogsrcool
(@royalace I just got mine a couple minutes ago) what exactly do I have to do for the college report? also it says my transcript was received in one section but it says its still required in another section so I’m slightly confused?
To do the College Report you print it off from the common app. I got mine here: https://undergrad.admissions.columbia.edu/sites/default/files/ca_2018_college_report_form_0718.pdf
I then filled out the top part and then handed it in at the Records office at my school, explained to them what it was for, and they had it ready for me by the next day. Make sure your school puts their official seal on it. Northeastern doesnt accept it when the applicant sends it to them so they require that your school email to them directly
If I got into BU is this indicative of a good chance to be accepted at northeastern?
I dropped the form off at the deans office today so hopefully they’ll get that done for me soon… and @estabrooka I can’t say for sure because it might depend on the program but I’d say you have a really good shot at getting in!
Also what is everyone planning on doing in terms of finding housing if we do get in? I heard there’s pretty much no chance we’ll be able to live on campus so…
How bad do B’s and A-'s look on the midterm grade sheet, if my GPA is 3.85 overall?
@dogsrcool I attended one of the online webinars for transfer students and the admissions counselor said there’s no housing for transfer, like at all, for both fall and spring semester. My plan is to hopefully find a close enough place to campus so I’ll most likely be utilizing the off-campus housing resource that NU has.
@dogsrcool Utilizing off-campus housing. Searching for apartments this month!
@estabrooka Northeastern’s transfer acceptance rates are quite different than BU’s but I’m sure you’ll be fine! Good luck!
@financeguy29 if you don’t mind me asking, can you give like a general idea on the quality of your financial aid package? Finances are quite a concern for me and I’m hoping transfer students can still get decent financial aid.
