The website says that subject tests are not required, but recommended.
I'll be applying to the school of engineering, and I've taken a few subject tests.
Spanish - 800
French - 750
Chem - 640
Math L1 - I'll be taking this November.

So the question is, will the 640 in chem and the fact that I'm taking level one and not level two be looked down upon?

well, it doesnt seem like you would want to major in engineering. I suggest going undecided in weinberg and then transferring to engineering if u like it. That will help u in getting in and choosing the best field for you.

yeah, that's my thing. Even though I'm interested in engineering, I feel like a complete idiot since the tests that are show my interests I do worst on. : ( I was going to apply as undecided as you said, but my guidance counselor adviced me agaisnt that. my scores aren't going to help me none. ugh.

Don't even bother with Math I. Take Level 2. Level I is a joke and most colleges don't even take it seriously. The UCs ouright will not accept it.

if you are getting an 800 and 750 on the language tests, maybe you want to apply as a language major, do you have language-related ECs? I don't think it's very hard to transfer from Weinberg (A&S) to McCormick (Engineering) once you're in

I've heard that it's easier to score higher on math2 than math1 if you are comfortable with math2 materials. I never took math1 before so I can't verify if that's true.

hehe, most of my ECs are language related...but, after some meditation and self-identity crisis, I've come to the conclusion that engineering is not for me..now I'm thinking neuroscience, with a minor in either spanish/french/and maybe start learning chinese.
