What are the secrets and any specific requirements to getting into the Northwestern Straight Medical Program?

Do they still require an MCAT score? Do they require specific SAT II from me while I'm in high school?

Do you mean HPME?

Yes, I wasn’t sure of it’s name. But yes, HPME

It’s extremely competitive to get into (ie. maybe harder to get into than HYP) because you are getting into a top tier medical school straight out of hs without an MCAT or any college grades (although many that are admitted probably already took college classes). Idk about the requirements but I’m sure they are on the NU wesbite.

Is it possible to transfer into this program?

SAT II’s in Math 2 and Chem required along with ACT or SAT reasoning

Never heard of transfers into the program (doubt this possible, can check with them directly at hpme@northwestern.edu).

General profile of entering students spelled out in detail on site. As jkaufman points out, most in HPME have turned down HYPMS offers to attend (median SAT over 1530, median SAT II’s around 770).

[Honors Program in Medical Education (HPME)](MD Education: MD Education: Feinberg School of Medicine)
