Rolled I don’t think you’ll be rejected. If you get rejected then they’ll probably laugh at my application.

Come on, everyone knows there is more to an application than college grades… cough HS GPA cough

Well I would think being waitlisted last year would mean that my high school stats were good enough, and college grades are at least much easier for an official to compare than high school grades.

Does fedex put a package in the mailbox or bring it to the door…?

^they usually bring it to the door.

Did you have to sign for the package?

Accepted today into WCAS, down in the DFW. Packet was sent by way of USPS, not FedEx. Echoing another poster, it was a large white envelope with Congratulations and Northwestern stamped across the front. Financial Aid info was not included - the information packet claims it will arrive later. Regardless of the FinAid, I’m almost 100% that I’ll attend.

They have already reached a decision about my application and it was mailed yesterday or today. However, I have no way of knowing as I am in Africa at the moment and have no one in the United States who I can ask to attent to the matter. Further, as Northwestern is (understandably) not willing to release my decision via phone or email, I am pretty sure I will have to go to the U.S. and return in order to read what I am sure is a rejection letter. For those of you who were admitted, may I know whether or not you received an email about housing?

My cousin works at Northwestern (Not in undergrad department though), so he went up to the admissions office and asked about the decisions… they said all of the decisions will be finished up to today. So chances are that most of us will get our decisions at least by mid-next week, I guess. I really hope this is the “right” information, since every time people called the office has telling us different stories.

I called the admissions office this afternoon, and they reached a decision on my application but were in the process of processing and “finalizing” it. The lady in the office said that I should get their response early next week. I have no idea what the decision was, and I don’t want to read into it too much.

How much is the deposit for those accepted?

$400 tuition deposit; $200 housing (if housing option selected on application).

nothing in the mail today.
i think i’m just gonna stick at my current school, which is giving me more aid than NU will probably give me and is ranked comparably as NU.

@McCubs thanks. I’m assuming that since you live in the Midwest they sent it USPS as opposed to FedEx?

Accepted today!

I’m still a bit perplexed as to the system. I hope you hear back soon, best of luck!

@ROLLED Congrats. Where do you live and how did they send it?

I live in a chicagoland suburb. Like Mccubsfan, it was indeed USPS in a large white envelope that says Congratulations! Northwestern on it. Postmarked 6/24, got here the day after.

rejected today.
