Northwestern Fall 2011 Transfer Thread

mail hasn’t passed yet for me. hoping for good news :-D.

monacle, has your delivery arrived yet?!

anyone else hear back yet?

We should protest back and say we will respond to their admission offer on a rolling basis. Lols

“We should protest back and say we will respond to their admission offer on a rolling basis.”

I’m with you on that one!

Ace- what did your cumulative GPA for the year end up being? Based on the strength of your resume, I assumed you were more or less a shoe-in for admission. If you haven’t heard anything, I’m still holding out hope.

one of us should call and ask. i’m going on vacation for 4 weeks this week and no one will be home to even check the mailbox!

^yeah, guys i wont be able to check whats in my package for awhile, ive been on vacation! lol thats the reason i even started tracking, just to see if something got there

Hey guys!

Does any of you know whether an international applicant also gets his/her package via Fedex if admitted?

I’ve been waiting for almost a month now…;( So stressed ARGGG

I just talked to the transfer coordinator and she said they will have all decisions released by July 1 (I laughed in my head when she said that). Then when I asked what carrier they send them out by she said “Standard Mail” which really didn’t answer my question. o.O

And she said my application is “still under review” :(

It seems we are the unlucky year and have to wait the longest compared to past years…

yerim0118,

I believe they send decisions by USPS to locations in the midwest US, and by FedEx anywhere beyond that region. So, I would assume the answer is yes. If anyone can confirm/deny this, go ahead; it’s just my idea.

i’ve heard of acceptances sent thru fed ex and by snail mail on this thread, so i’m not quite sure which it is. it could be both. or does it depend on the individual school? anyone have any thoughts?

NU has been awfully quiet lately, has anyone heard news in the last few days?

Nope, unfortunately not…

Got my acceptance packet 14 June.
They say to give a final decision 3 weeks from the mailing date, so I have until 5 July to decide. So yeah, acceptance is on a rolling basis too.

we have very similar stats, paul. did ur acceptance come thru snail mail or fed ex?

nothing in the mail for me today :frowning: is it July yet?

I think it was Fed Ex, but I’m not sure since I don’t get back to the states for another two weeks.
But anyway, good luck to everybody else!

Nothing here in Chicago :/

So how likely do you think a student that was waitlisted last year as a freshman applicant that has a cumulative 4.0 GPA from a top 20 university will get rejected?

Was already rejected from Yale :/

I don’t know… I’ve got a 4.0 cumulative as well, though I don’t go to a top 20. I took several upper division courses, and had a pretty tough course load over all. I’d be interested to see what % of applicants with a 4.0 who apply from four-year universities actually do get rejected.
