Northwestern Interview Help (bites nails)

Hello to all and a HAPPY new year!!!

Well, happy for me except i got an email saying my northwestern interview is tomorrow (ahhhhhhhhh!) Very short notice and I don't know what to do lol. I don't really even know how important this is in the grand scheme of things. Is it really important? Hmm. Is there much I should do to prepare w/such short notice!? gahhh lol. Thanks, I'm sort of in a frenzied panic as I REALLY don't want to screw up the interview w/my dream school :P

bump--seriously anyone? Friends have no idea (drowns in fear)

Hmm expect the main questions.

"why northwestern".

"why are you a good match."

"what are some ec's or your rank etc. school related."

"Who influences you the most."

"Is NW your top choice."

Make sure you know your major beforehand and try your best to say something related to northwestern when commenting on your major etc.

no need for a resume..
ask MANY questions.
Ask questions like.
1. "Is NW have a strong student body act."
2. "Is NW allow doulbe majors etc."
3. Ask about your specific school or major. Ask about profesors (interviewr may not know this).
4. "is atheletics strong at NW and are there many clubs / activites to do"
5. "can freshman participate in research programs".
6. "are there any non-freshman only groups"
7. STRAY AWAY from any frat. sor. housing and things like that.
8. Ask him what he thinks about NW and if he liked it (if hes / shes an alumni)
9. Be nice. Dress well.
10. Ask him if he particpated in anything you find interseting as well
11. Try your best to form a strong rapport with your person. Look around for something that you can tell he likes if you are in his office or something else to talk about. Be casual etc."

Just keep adding things to this list. These are basic questions and tips i think.

This might seem incredibly obvious, but avoid any [controversial] subject that might offend your interviewer. Don't wear jeans and a t-shirt; dress up a little. And don't forget to smile. :)

I read somewhere that arrogance is usually a red flag for interviewers. You definitely don't seem that way, but just so you know.

Your interview is going to be fine! You'll probably be asked predictable questions about why you want to attend NU, like Gyros said, and maybe a few questions about your personal life/interests. And unless you start gushing about your desire to start up a chapter of the KKK at NU, I'm sure your interviewer will give a positive report to the admissions board.

they will definitely ask you about why you chose your major or why you're interested it in it. be prepared for that question!
