I agree with the fact the prior rejections or admissions should affect your thoughts on another school. My current guidance counselor is relatively young and he said that he got rejected from Rice for undergrad but got accepted at Brown…which to me is pretty surprising. So keep your head up!

Regarding what it takes to get in - I just looked at the scattergram in Naviance for my D’s school, 284 applications from recent years and virtually 100% rejections. Even the highest performers didn’t get in Two waitlisted - 4.0 GPA’s and 35 & 36 ACT’s. One got in with ACT 35 and 4.0 and one with a 1570 SAT and 4.0. So…good to keep expectations appropriate.
