@deliciousSteak my college gpa is roughly 3.9 and my HS was 4.3/4.4 weighted; accepted into Weinberg ^.^ . Goodluck!! I know the wait is agonizing especially when trying to get through finals!
I was accepted to Weinberg yesterday. The following is my stat:
College GPA: 4.0
SAT: 1490
HS GPA: 3.92 unweighted
I am also from a top 20+ college
I didn’t have a stellar resume, that’s probably why I got rejected by so many other top colleges lol
My application was completed in Feb but i still waiting for the decision. I guess they release their decision alphabetically.
My last name starts with Z lol
@juntao99 that makes sense, my app was completed in Feb and my last name also starts with Z lol
@Xinnyyaa The resume doesn’t play a very important role in college admission.
For those of us left, are we expecting decisions today or this upcoming week?
Rejected from Dartmouth this morning.
Just replied to Rice that I want to stay on waitlist.
Two finals tmw.
I NEED SOME GOOD NEWS PLZ NW.
My last name starts with V and I received my decision last wednesday
Yeah, my last name starts with K, so I’m not sure thats it
Question: I got into both UIUC and Northwestern as a CS transfer from an unranked school. What’s your rationale for choosing McCormick over UIUC CS? Isn’t UIUC CS much better? I’m having a lot of trouble with decision due to NU’s higher overall ranking. Thanks!
@yungcabbage Congrats on getting into both schools! Imo you can’t go wrong with either school. UIUC is a top 5-10 CS/Engineering school with a very strong and large alumni network across the tech industry, so I’d probably pick UIUC over Northwestern if I got into both for CS.
No question Illinois is the better CS program. It is world wide accepted and lauded. But no question overall Northwestern is the better University. If you think you might change majors then NW might be the better choice. I would also look at minor /major combinations and see if one school has more at what you are looking for. CS with a business minor or entrepreneurship minor is a very strong combination.
Also since you will get a job after your education from each school which campus has a better fit and feel for you? Also which is the cheaper option? Try to minimize loans.
BTW when is the next wave. According to last year thread, the rolling will end around 5/16
Just got an email 2 minutes ago, rejected! Haha, what a long wait for that, good luck for the rest of you guys!
Sorry to hear that. Best of luck!
Seems like from now on, the decisions will be completely random.
Hi I was accepted and I was wondering if anyone knew when I had to reply with my deposit or decline by.
rejected :))
@cubs2016 three weeks from the time you receive your acceptance
