Good luck! :four_leaf_clover::crossed_fingers:

Sounds like no one heard anything. Would they draw it out until Friday?

I was accepted yesterday!

Congrats!!!

Did anyone not hear?

Congratulations!!!

When can we expect financial aid and transfer credit evaluations by? I got accepted a few weeks ago and still never received anything

Financial aid is supposed to take 2-3 weeks from when they receive materials. I haven’t gotten my package, but I only submitted the CSS and IDOC a few days ago, so that timeline checks out.

My transfer credit evaluation posted 7 days after I got accepted. Sounds like you should probably call them about that.

Thanks!

Hi I was admitted May 20th, but I still haven’t gotten a credit evaluation how long did it typically take others?

All decisions have been released right??

I believe so! Did you decide to go to UVA?

Congrats! Mine took 7 days.

Alright thank you!

for those who got accepted or rejected, lmk if these stats are decent enough because I don’t know if its worth considering to apply next year if I don’t have a decent enough shot.

Year: Sophomore at IU
GPA: 4.00
Credits: 80+ rnow, prob 95+ by the time I apply
SAT: 1510
Essay: story about how I went to a hypnotist once to fix my sleepwalking because my parents were crazy at least I thought. The hypnotist worked somehow, proving to me that the experts can be deceiving, especially about crazy ■■■■.
NW essay: good lgbt club that focuses on local prescence within my community, important to me as a bi man. dillo day - music festival that I went to last year - emboldened my view of how goated nu is with their culture and hype. And another reason related to my major too. even little perks like getting mod pizza for free 5 times a month.

You’ll never know unless you try. Stats are surely fine enough, but you’ll look here and on other previous threads that tons of 4.0s get rejected.

I think you might want to rethink your essays. Seems like you are coming at it with the broad “first-year application” approach, but your essays need to answer 1) why you want to transfer from your current university, and 2) why NU is the perfect place for you to fill in these missing aspects of your current university. And, these reasons for why you are leaving/wanting to come to NU should be mostly academic, and particular to your field of study (especially since you will seemingly be a rising junior applicant).

You can dress those two points I’ve mentioned above with any type of flowery prose or storytelling, but they should be clearly assessed in some way and at some point. Explain to NU why they are the perfect place for you to continue your primary and secondary fields of study.

Still no word here. How about you?

Your stats are great, so I think it’s worth it to give NU another shot. I do think, from the very little that you’ve said, that it might make sense to tinker with the personal statement. Just seems like it might have come across as merely anecdotal rather than passionate and personal.

For my PS this year, I just spoke from the heart about my cat and I think it helped me get in.
