Northwestern University?

I was just wondering what my chances are for Northwestern University; I can't find much about it.

*GPA- 3.75
*ACT- 28 (without studying and it was my first one. I'm hoping to retake in Sept. again...do you think that is too late to take it?)

*4 year Varsity Pom-Pon/Dance team
*MIP-fresh. MVP-junior captain-11-12th
*1 year on the Flag Team
*NHS for my Junior and Senior year
*Student Council for my Junior and Senior year
*2 years of S.O.S (A communtiy service group)

*4.5 years of English
*4-5 years of Forign Language (4 French, maybe 1 Spanish)
*4-5 years of Math (depends if my Math class is offered)
*3.5 years of Social Studies
*3.5 years of Science (4 if necessary)
*1 year of Health and Gym

*I also have a part time job. My mom a single parent and I will be a first generation college student. I think that's about it.

*I plan on studying french and either being a french teach or a french translator.

*Does anyone else know of any Universities that will be a good fit?

I think it's hard to say without knowing SAT scores and the exact classes you're taking. 4.5 years of english could be basic basic english or AP English Lang and Lit. Since it's not a perfect GPA, the classes in your transcript will probably affect how the gpa is interpreted. Don't forget to find matches and safeties.

It is possible, but the GPA & ACT are both low. Low academic stats make acceptance difficult. Improve your ACT score as much as you can; 32+ would be ideal. Even then, Northwestern is still a "reach."

it will be a reach. ed may help chances.
