should I contact them? Or just wait?

I haven't been contacted either. I called them, and they told me to just wait. Most of the interviews are done in Feb. anyway. It's weird though, because my school friend who's also applying has already been contacted, and her interview's this weekend.

Yeah I haven't been contacted either, should I worry? But I have been contacted for one for Brown while others in my area have not...

me neither... guess we are not that bright... :(

Princetonwannabe, maybe if Yale doesn't call for an interview it's because they saw your login name... haha.

:'( :( >.<

It doesn't matter if they have contacted you are not. You all know that the interview is not required for admission. They just give interviews to as many people as they possibly can, and I don't think that they "preview" the applications to see who they really want to give interviews (lol that would take forever). I know that Harvard doesn't do that so I think it is reasonable to say that Yale doesn't either. But I called Yale to ask them if I could send in my letter saying that I made National Achievement Scholar, and the lady I talked to said they haven't even started reading applications yet (which makes me very curious as to how some people on this forum claim to have already received "likely" letters).

don't worry so much, guys. I never received an interview.

on a total tangent, chidimma, I went to your Xanga. Is the recharging batteries referring to "The Wind-up Bird Chronicle"?

Interviews don't mean squat. My friend got into Rice and Duke w/o interviews, and I'm here without interviews, while somebody else from my school didn't get into Yale with an interview. I'm convinced that interviews benefit the applicant more than the school. They serve as a means for the student to learn about the school rather than the other way around.

Good luck!

gagner, have you been contacted?

(collegiate: I think when gagner says "I'm here without interviews" it means he's already there at Yale, and didn't have an interview)

oh, no... I was referring to an inside joke... hehe :)

mea: yeah i know he's already at Yale without an interview. But was he contacted for an interview and he refused to have it? or he wasn't contacted at all ?

Still No Int

I had my interview last monday, it was really informal, but she did say she would send a report about it to Yale adcoms. I already got into some big name school w/o an interview (they dont do interviews though) so I dont think they are that important.

I was never contacted for interview, even though I e-mailed my regional rep requesting for one. Don't stress about it. BTW, is there something about "gagner" that screams masculinity? It's not the first time people's mistaken me for a guy... haha. Anywho, if you guys have any questions about Yale or whatnot, feel free to e-mail me. I think my e-mail's in this profile. G'luck!

Still waiting for my call too......

HEY!....im almost to 300 posts!...im gonna go ahead and do it!

299...................!
