Hey long time no see guys.

Anyways, this quarter I was pretty booked. The main problem for me was this Computer Programming class (CIS27A - Java Programming I). It was a thorn in my foot and I'm really not sure if I can handle another quarter of it... I got through by trial and error and copy / pasting from examples, but I'm bad with the terminology.

This coming spring, I'm planning on taking only (JAPN 6)Japanese 6 and (CIS 27B)Java Programming II. Irvine is the only school that wants me to take CIS 27A and B for my International Studies major there. Furthermore I'm only taking 10 units and those are the last classes I need to take.

My logic for possibly not taking CIS27B next quarter is that once and IF i transfer to UCI, I would retake the equivalent class (which only takes one quarter rather than two) so that I can understand and go over the basics that I learned in CIS27A so get a better understanding. This though, would make me only taking 5 units during my last quarter at my CCC rather than 10.

I do believe the uh, class reporting thing on the UC Application stays open until 3/20

PS: On ASSIST for International Studies, it states that, "This major does not require completion of prerequisites for admission as a transfer student." so....

1) If i was able to change the classes that I was planning on taking during spring on the UC Application would I have to email each individual school?

2) Does the idea of not finishing up the second quarter because I'd be struggling a C sound like a good idea? If I retake it when and IF I go to UCI?

3) Would not taking a non-mandatory class like CIS27A hinder my chances of getting into any of the UCs that I applied to? (assuming my units are sufficient and all other courses have been taken)

4) Would taking a reduced 5 qtr/units (JAPN5) instead of taking 10qtr un(JAPN5/CIS27B) during spring hinder my chances at any of the universities I applied to?

NOTE: If you want to see the ASSIST page
