Notification Date

Does McGill wait for receipt of your first (or second) marking period grades before telling you if you are accepted or is acceptance made contingent upon their seeing those grades? FYI - US high school student

i wanna know the same thing!!

After submitting my first marking period grades they still added a mid-year report/second quarter grades requirement

They added a mid-year requirement for my son as well. Since they aren’t fully in yet, he sent in what he had so far. He got notified last night that he is in, contingent on continued good grades.

What were his stats @garlicmojo

@garlicmojo did it say first semester grades/second quarter or just first quarter?
also, did you get any financial aid/scholarship info? thanks!

Garlicmojo’s son here: ad here are my stats that McGill cares about.
Average: 97.5 (top decile)
ACT: 34

It said to upload midterm grades, I didn’t quite do that, but it all worked out. The scholarship application is separate and I just submitted that two days ago, so I’m not expecting those results for a few weeks.

Mid-year grades, sorry

Do we need to send a scanned transcript? It will take another one month for the school to provide me one. However, I know my grades. Can I send those to McGill and get a contingent admission in the meantime?

That’s what I did. I gather that most of McGill’s acceptances are contingent (mine is). They seem to care that the students they accept out don’t check out at the end of their senior year.
