Notifying UC schools about Ds first semester senior year

Hi, I applied to SF, Humboldt, and Sonoma State and UC Santa Cruz, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara. I'm also applying to Bard, Puget Sound, University of San Francisco, Lewis and Clark, Reed, and Sarah Lawrence.
Through high school I got mostly As and Bs, but in my first semester senior year I got a 2.6 UW/3.4 W GPA and a D in AP Bio. I know that I have to notify the UCs about this, but how much will it affect me? I've heard varying things. The only UC I'm really interested in is UC Santa Cruz; will it be a deal breaker there? I have a 2240 SAT, but I don't know if that will balance it out. Also, do I need to add safer schools to my list? Thanks if you read any of this :)

Any help? :)

I doubt you need to add any more schools. You should probably still be good at your CSUs. I don’t know how the UCs will react. It seems obvious to me you decided to coast this last semester - bad timing on your part. Have you looked at your eligibility index? <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;
