Notre Dame Chances

Me:
- black male
- Catholic
- Michigan resident

High school:
-3.8 gpa
- captain for both basketball and soccer
- low ACT score, took it once and got a 21.(should I retake it?)

College stats:

Freshman year: 3.45 at top 100 LAC with 33 credits.
Sophmore year: I should have a 3.96 at Community College with 22 credits including summer classes.
Next semester I'm going to Wisconsin-Madison, and I hope to have a 3.5 gpa.

I'm going to UW-madison, and I'm sure I will like it, but Notre Dame is my dream school and so I have to apply. I've never applied because I just didn't see myself getting in.

I have taken their freshman courseload-- calc 2, calc, bio, geology, english...ect.

Basically, I will have around 67 credits at three universities. Will this and my really low ACT score make it impossible to have a chance at ND????

Would it help to stay at my CC for another semester and not go to Madison?

You have a very strong GPA and great Ec's. Clearly the work load you have been taken has been heavy and yet you've done well so I think you have a great chance overall. The only "negative" thing is the fact that you've moved from school to school, so hopefully ND doesn't see you as a serial transfer student or something. Go with your gut, I say you have a great chance of getting in so since it is your dream school make sure you won't regret not attending Madison. It is a hard choice though it sounds like what I did. Instead of attending a UC I stayed at community college and worked hard to have a good standing and get into the school of MY dreams, which is USC. I hope I do, lol. Good luck! :D
